Monks putting Kasaya on the Buddha statue at the Thai Temple on Wesak Day. They are offerings from devotees. Kasaya/Kasa (Monk robes) are symbolic of protecting and sustaining the Dharma through the spiritual community of ‘sangha’, the upholders of the Buddha’s teachings. Offering robes to a monk is one of the most meritorious acts a person can perform.
