FATT KOE AKA PROSPERITY CAKE

I made these Fatt Koe or Prosperity cake using an instant mix that I bought from the supermarket.  Fatt Koe or Leavened cake is considered auspicious by the Chinese as the word Fatt means to prosper or to raise/leaven. The cake is made by steaming and is offered to the deities during Chinese festivals as a symbol of prosperity.  There are some who believe that eating the cakes after they are offered to the deities would bring good luck.
