CHASING DEMONS OUT AND INVITING THEM IN AGAIN

Since the weather was unbearably hot and dry, I ordered a glass of mixed fruit juice for dinner. The cucumber juice belongs to Lai Yoong. However, I had enough of the bland porridge for the day and decided to live dangerously by ordering grilled fish steak for dinner. I know it was not good for my throat but then I had enough of bland for a day. My poor taste buds were craving more savoury stuff.

The Chinese have a saying "Chasing away the ghosts and then welcoming them back again".  The cooling drink was akin to chasing demons from my body but the grilled fish was like inviting them back in again.
