MAKING MY OWN CHINESE NEW YEAR DECORATIONS

The prices of Chinese New Year decorations have gone up quite a bit this year. I had my sights set on those lanterns that have been decorated with peonies and cherry blossom. But they cost a tidy sum. The pair that I looked at cost more than a hundred ringgit. So I have decided to make my own using paper lanterns I bought from Kaison, old cherry blossom and peony flowers from last year.
Believe me, it will cost me less than RM30 to make 2 pairs of lanterns. A pair for my Sitiawan house and another for the family house in Ipoh. I personally prefer lanterns that are of a softer shade.
