TELUK INTAN CHEE CHEONG FUN
When Lai Yoong and I visited Teluk Intan a couple of weeks ago, we did not get to eat the Chee Cheong Fun that that town is famous for. We missed the opening times of the stall. For your information, Teluk Intan’s version of this noodle is unlike the conventional ones. It does look a wee bit like the Hong Kong type. The Teluk Intan variety has preserved turnip (the dark brown bits), crunchy shallots and dried shrimps. It is served with pickled green chillies and either sweet or hot chillie sauce. The noodle is served cold.
Lucky me managed to eat Teluk Intan Chee Cheong fun that was sold at the Kg Koh Market on Sunday. It is indeed delicious. One day, I will go with Lai Yoong to sample the famous one in Teluk Intan.
