I was told by the trader at the market that torch flowers or kantan are in season at present. A while back, it was soooo hard to get a hold of the flowers to cook laksa or make kerabu. The price for a stalk shot up to RM2.50. Nowadays, the supply is plentiful as it is in season. So the price of one is 50 sen. If you buy 3, then you pay only RM1.00.
