LYCHEE = CLOSE FAMILY TIES

Fresh or dried Lychee is auspicious to the Chinese. They are popular during Chinese New Year because Lychee (荔枝; lìzhī)  symbolises close family ties.  Looking at the bunch of lychee growing on the tree, one can get the idea of togetherness.
