Yacón

This pot of Yacon plant was a present from Mr Tan of Tan's Camellia Garden. The yacón (Smallanthus sonchifolius, syn.: Polymnia edulis, P. sonchifolia) is a perennial plant traditionally grown in the northern and central Andes from Colombia to northern Argentina for its crisp, sweet-tasting, tuberous roots.
I am plant sitting it first to see if it can survive the move from the cooler clime of the highlands to hot Manjung. Hopefully it can grow here.
