TEACHING DICTIONARY SKILLS

Yesterday morning I taught dictionary skills to my Year 1 English language class. The students were given 5 low frequency words and had to look up their meanings in the dictionary.  They also needed to look for 20 abbreviations and their meanings. Needless to say, they made good use of the dictionaries in the library.
