GIFT OF BOWL, CHOPSTICKS AND SPOON FOR GRAND BIRTHDAY

For the Chinese, the age of 60 would probably be the first and only time in their lives that their animal signs and elements are exactly as they were on the day they were born. For they have come a full cycle.
This is a time when one can celebrate his/her grand birthday.  During such an auspicious occasion, everyone at the celebration must eat longevity noodles and peach shaped buns.   This type of celebration continues every ten years for the rest of the person's live with more family members, being added to the grand celebration each year.
Each guest at the dinner will be presented with  a set of "Shou" Chinese Rice Bowl, Chopsticks and Spoon. These is an auspicious gesture that the birthday person is giving to the guests in return ample food to be had always using those rice bowl, spoon and chopsticks.
