LIN CHI KANG

 Lin Chi Kang is a popular dessert in Malaysia.  Lin Chi is Lotus seed in Chinese and Kang loosely
translated means drink or soup. So Lin Chi Kang is actually Lotus Seed Drink.
Last Sunday I ordered a bowl of this sweet drink from my favourite kopitiam, the one in Canning Garden. Lin Chi Kang is known to be a cooling Chinese traditional drink generously filled with lotus seeds, quail eggs, pearl sagos and dried longans. One can also add strips of dried jelly, lychee and other ingredients to it.  When added with ice cubes, it tastes heavenly.
