GARLAND OF FLOWERS FOR KUAN YIN

Tomorrow is the Fifth Day of the Fifth Lunar month.  The Chinese refer to it as Duan Wu Jie  端午节, or double five festival.  It is also known as the Dumpling Festival or Dragon Boat Festival.  On this day, we eat dumplings and there are also dragon boat races.
During Chinese festivals, I make it a point to light candles and also buy flowers as offerings to the deities at my house in Ipoh and the one in Sitiawan. You can see the garland of flowers adorning the Goddess Kuan Yin idol in my home.
