JIU LI XIANG (FRAGRANCE REACHING 9 LI)

My Kemuning  (Murraya paniculata) is bearing lots of flowers.  The small, white flowers are pretty and they give out a fragrance that is far reaching.  That is why it is known as Jiu Li Xiang (meaning fragrance reaching nine miles) in Chinese.
This plant has a lot of medicinal uses, be it modern or traditional. It is used to treat shortness of breath, for use by ladies in confinement, diabetes and lethargy. This plant is also associated with the mystic world.
