BURMESE CLOTHING

My sister bought me this Burmese clothing during her visit to Myanmar. I won't get to wear it until I go visit her in Singapore or she comes visits me in Malaysia. The typical garment of the Burmese is the Indian lungi or longyi, a sarong worn by both men and women. You can see the blue and gold longyi that belongs to me.

The Burmese women wear a blouse buttoned at the front, called yinzi or to the side, called yinbon. I think what she bought for me is the yinzi as iI see the buttons in front.

Here are two more traditional garments that she managed to snap.  Aiyoh.  I think I need to go on a diet so that all my spare tyres do not show.
