My former student, Liny, got married over the weekend. Her solemnisation ceremony at the mosque was on Saturday evening and the reception on Sunday. She emailed me her wedding invitation a few weeks ago and then sent me a message. On Friday night, she Whatsapped to remind me. So how could I not go even though I have relatives to visit on the third day of the new year.
When I first saw Liny in her wedding finery, I was spellbound by how beautiful she looked. Simply stunning.
