WHITE BUTTERFLY

For some time I was trying to put a name to this plant that is found in my late mother's garden.  Luck was on my side when I saw this plant at the Caravan Site in Manjung.  A man who was selling herbal plants had it and I asked him for the name.  He said it was Melur Kayu.  Working on that name, I was able to identify the plant.  It goes by the grand sounding scientific name of Clerodendrum calamitosum L.  It is commonly known in English as White Butterfly.  It is pretty obvious why it it called such by looking at the white flowers.
This herbal plant can be used to treat shingles, kidney stones, aching bones and stop bleeding.
