Those of you who are fans of Star Trek would readily admit that those gadgets that were imagined by the creative team of the TV series and movie have really been invented by scientists and technologists. So what next? The transporter or teleporter? For those of you who have never ever watched Star Trek, a transporter is a fictional
teleportation machine used in the
Star Trek universe. Transporters convert a person or object into an
energy pattern (a process called dematerialization), then "beam" it to a target, where it is reconverted into matter (rematerialization). Now that would be really fantastic.
