THE WONDERS OF THE BEAUTY MODE

For a person who loves to take photographs, I feel really fortunate to be living in an era whereby more and more applications for cameras are introduced ever so often.  A couple of decades ago, no one would have been able to imagine that we could take photographs using our cellular phones.  Actually, to own a hand phone at that time was a big deal as it was just introduced into the market.
Now not only do we have cellular phones that double up as cameras but the features that come with them are becoming more and more sophisticated.
The Samsung android phones (not sure about other brands) have a feature called Beauty Face where a captured portrait is automatically adjusted to create a more visually pleasing photo.

The photograph of me above is taken using the normal auto mode.  You can see the uneven application of powder on my face and also my smudged lipstick.

The pictures below were taken using the Beauty Face mode.  Look at the difference.  Ahhh ... the wonders of modern technology.
