My regular vegetable seller at the Kampung Simee market introduced a new vegetable to me, Garlic Scapes. He told me that the scapes is the the curly-Q flower stalks of the garlic plant. I don't think many people are aware that the scape or stalk of the garlic plant is also edible. This garlice scape also contains flavour and can be used in a number of different recipes. The vegetable seller told me that I could stir fry it.
