FRIED OYSTER OMELETTE (OR CHIEN)


Or Chien or Fried oyster omelette will be one of the dishes in the menu of most seafood restaurants in Malaysia.  There are actually a few types of Or Chien.  Here in Sitiawan, this dish is crispy much like crackers whilst in Melaka and Penang, it is slightly soft and sticky.  Personally I like the crispy type.  
This is one dish that I have never learnt to cook.  Why? Because I can easily order it from any seafood restaurant here in Manjung.  Furthermore, I don't think I can do it as crispy as they can.
