My fifth Hari Raya Open House for 2013 was the one hosted by Puan Hajah Siti Arfah, my former principal. Together with a few of my colleagues and their children, we went to Kak Siti's house at around 4.00 p.m. yesterday. She prefers us to call her Kak Siti Arfah as she says that she is no longer the principal and is now a pensioner. However, we find it hard not to call her Puan. To many of us, she is like a big sister. To the younger teachers, she is like a foster mother.
