FALIM HOUSE

The majestic looking mansion featured in this blog post is known as Falim House which is located Off Jalan Lahat in Ipoh.  It was the abode of the local tin mining tycoon, Foo Nyit Tse.  It was at this very mansion that Towkay Foo entertained the Who’s Who of Ipoh society back then.
The house is being maintained by Amber Synergy which has plans to preserve it. The land around Falim House is marked for a commercial development involving 116 units of three- and four-storey shoplots to be completed in a year.
Currently an exhibition titled "A Tin Mining Family" is being held at the premise.  Entrance is free.
