MISSION TO COLLECT BLESSED WATER FOR RELATIVES

My Aunt and Uncle in Ipoh had asked me to bring some blessed water from the Tua Pek Kong Temple back for them this weekend and so off I went to Pasir Panjang in the morning to do their bidding.  Here you see me at the place where they burn offerings of joss-sticks.
Apparently there is a festival and many of contributed giant joss-sticks as offerings to the deities.
I have reached the square housing the giant sized deities.  It never cease to amaze me that the place is kept very clean and tidy.  When I was there I saw a man busy doing the sweeping.
Now this garden is a new edition.  This is on the right.
Here is the other mini garden on the left.
The statues of Cowherd and Weaver Girl are also newly installed.
The plaque in between them tells their romantic tale of love and sacrifice.
I do think that the perimeter walls have also been given a new coat of paint.
Here is a stature of a golden carp yet to be installed.
I think the carp will be installed here. It has something to do with the carp sweeping upstream and attaining success.
Now I am at the container where blessed water comes pouring down from the calabash of the Goddess of Mercy.  Many come and collect the water to bring home with them to take bath and also to wash their cars for good luck and good health.
Here you see a later washing her car with the blessed water she has collected.  I used the water to wash myself and filled a big container to bring home for my relatives in Ipoh.
