My family and I had to performs the Qing Ming prayers for my late mother even earlier than this date as she is recently deceased. Her ashes are interned in a niche along with that of my late father's at the Paradise Memorial Park in Tanjung Rambutan. Before we could go up to the columbarium to carry out the prayers, we had to go to the Tua Pek Kong temple at the entrance to the Memorial Park to pay our respects first. This is because Tua Pek Kong is the landlord of the park. We pray to him to seek permission to perform Qing Ming prayers on the land.
