Like previous Chinese New Years, I would visit the temples to ask for blessings from the deities for a good year ahead. And I would also pay my annual visit to my old friend, Yueh Lau or the Old Man of the Moon. This Taoist deity is tasked with the duty of fixing marriages for mortals. Though I am pally with him but this old guy has decided not to tie me with anyone. Perhaps, he likes me a lot and looks forward to my annual visits.
