I had nyonya laksa for lunch yesterday afternoon. For your information nyonya laksa is a type of laksa. It is also known as Laksa Lemak. What distinguishes it from the normal laksa is that it has a rich coconut gravy. In Malay, when we say something is lemak it refers to the presence of santan or coconut milk which adds a distinctive richness to a dish. So Nyonya Laksa has a rich, slightly sweet and strongly spiced coconut gravy.
