CHINESE NEW YEAR EVE

Today is the eve of the lunar new year but to me it really appears to be any other day of the year.  Why?  I am not supposed to celebrate it in a grand way. So that means I can't hang up all the gold and red decorations to give my homes a festive feel.
Anyway, I still get to enjoy the reunion dinner tonight with my Aunt Linda and Uncle Jimmy.  My sister, Li Mei and her family are celebrating it in KL and will only be back next weekend. Sigh!  This has got to be the most boring and uneventful new year for me.
