PLAYING ON THE IMAGE OF THE SNAKE FOR CNY DECOR

I notice that for the year of the snake, many business premises and advertisers are playing on the image of the snake for their new year decoration.  Look at the one at a hotel that I went to last week.  You can see the image of the snake incorporated into the design.
As a matter of fact,  quite a number of Chinese characters were originally formed from images of objects and animals.  So you can say it is back to square one.
