POWER THAT THE ELEPHANTS BRING

I saw a lot of elephant figurines when I visited a gift shop yesterday afternoon.  I reasoned that the shop owner figured that the Hindus would buy them to decorate their houses for Diwali.
As a matter of fact, the Hindus consider elephants to be sacred.  The Hindus worship the elephant because they represent obedience to the dharma (the master's call), ability not to repeat past mistakes, and respect and care towards their peers.  In Buddhism, elephants are considered celestial animals and one of the sacred treasures of Buddha.
In Feng Shui, the elephant symbolises protection, good luck, wisdom and fertility.  These are the positive energies brought by the symbol of the elephant into any space, be it home or the work place.  When one wishes to use the elephant as a fertility cure, then the trunk of this animal should be down.  Elephants with their trunks up are used as activators for good luck.
