The year of the Snake will officially begin at 12.31 a.m. on February 4, 2012 which is referred to the Chinese as

That is why there is a saying the Feng Shui of a place changes according to turns.  With knowledge of the Flying Star Feng Shui, we can ensure that prosperity, wealth and wellbeing is maintained in the house and workplace.  One that can be done is to put up the remedies for the inauspicious sectors and activators for the auspicious ones.

The following is the chart for the year of the Water Snake which starts on 4 February 2013 and ends on 3 February 2014. For your information, the chart of the flying stars for this year will be back to its original position in the Bagua (Lo Shui Square). This means that the energy of each star will be stronger than other years since they will be supported directly by their power source.

Here is a run through of the auspicious and inauspicious sectors.

1. EAST
The #3 Argumentative star flies to the East in the year of the Water Snake.  Now the Number 3 Star is considered an unlucky one as it brings with it arguments, damage and legal entanglements.  To compound matters, the 3 Killings is also in the East this year.   Alamak!!!

Those who were born in the year of the Rabbit might be more liable to encounter disagreements, quarrels and lawsuits. For those whose main doors are in the East, they should also practice caution.

WHAT TO DO
One remedy or cure to counter the #3 star is to use a lot of red items in the East as this colour helps to dissolve this inauspicious star’s wood energy. Those born in the Rabbit year can wear more red.
So as not to disturb the 3 Killings, do not do any construction in this sector.  Also try not to spend too much time here.

2. SOUTHWEST
Flying Star #2 will reside at the SouthWest position in the year of the Snake. This is also an inauspicious star as it brings with it illness, disease and health related problems. Those whose houses have main doors in this location will be affected

WHAT DO DO
One traditional Feng Shui cure is the use of the brass Wu Lou to help dissolve the negative energy of this star.

3. WEST
In 2012, the West sector is also not auspicious as the #7 Star of disaster will be residing there.  In Flying star feng shui, the  #7 is an unlucky star that causes fighting, robbery, stealing, accidents, thefts, loss and other problems.

WHAT DO DO
This negative metal energy can be drained by adding yin (non moving) water.

4. SOUTH
The #9 star is located in the South in the year of the Snake.  Now this lucky star will bring happy events such as promotion, marriage and new start of enterprise, marriage and newborns.

WHAT DO TO
In order to tap this good energy, you must try to hang around this sector as much as possible.  Besides this, hanging one red scroll in this area can also activate the auspicious fire element.

5. NORTH
The Number 1 Star flies back to its original North position and this signifies bright prospects to further education, promotions, prosperity and relationship. It can also help your business grow and your career advancement  If the main door of your house or office locates in North, you will benefit from this star in the coming year.

WHAT TO DO
Once again, try to be in this sector as much as possible to tap the good energies.  As both the Flying star #1 and the North belong to Water element, this means that the star will be very strong this year. In order to usher the favorable energy that #1 will bring in, you need to activate this location by displaying one water fountain to boost its water element.

6. NORTHEAST
This is the luckiest sector for the year as the wealth star #8 will be here. This auspicious star will bring you career luck and prosperity. If your main door locates in Northeast, you will have extra income in 2013.

WHAT DO DO
All you need to do is try to be in this sector as much as possible to tap the good energies

7. SOUTHEAST
The #4 Star of Romance and Scholastic Luck will be at Southeast position in 2013. Flying star #4 is the education star which is in charge of literary achievement, examination success, inspiration and recognition.
The Tai Sui (Grand Duke) will be in command here as welll.  Avoid any new constructions in this location and keep this location quiet.

WHAT TO DO
In order to booster this education star, display Wen Chang Pagoda.  Those who are taking examinations would do well if they have their study located here.

8. NORTHWEST
Flying star #6 will be in the Northwest in 2013. Heaven Star #6 is for career success.
However the Northwest is on the opposite side of where the Tai Sui is located. It means that one bad afflicting star Sui Po is in the Northwest. In order not to minimise to its energy, avoid any new constructions and keep this area calm.

WHAT TO DO
The effective way to activate flying star #6 is to display the feng shui enhancers – 6 Metal Emperor Smooth Coins, or 6 Big Metal Emperor Smooth Coins or Set of 6 Heaven Prosperity Coins in this corner.

9. CENTRE
The dreaded 5 Yellow Star  will be in the center of the house or office in 2013. This very unlucky star will bring all kinds of bad luck, disasters, wealth loss and sickness.

WHAT TO DO
Since flying star #5 possesses the most ominous energy, its destructive effects can’t be underestimated. It is better to keep its effects down before the disasters take place. Don’t place water fountains or something that can activate the energy in this location. Avoid TV set or big red items, too.
