SABAH SNAKE BEANS

The long beans that we buy from the market are usually long, straight and thin.  However, there is a type of long beans that are curly and thick (shown in the pictures above).  They are called Sabah Snake Beans or Borneo Thick Snake Beans.
Malaysians like to stir fry these beans with dried shrimps and sambal belacan.  Believe me, this is one delicious dish. I also like to eat it raw as ulam (salad).  This is a healthier alternative.
