FLOWER BASKET LANTERN



When I was a child, lanterns in the shape of flower baskets were the conventional designs for girls.  However, children nowadays prefer lanterns in the shape of popular cartoon or anime characters like Angry Birds, Doraemon and Spiderman.
When I visited the cultural fair at Dataran Ipoh last Sunday, I was attracted to the beautiful flower basket lantern made by the Dragon Head crafstman.  
Hmm ... if I have the time, I might just try to make a flower lantern for the mid-autumn festival.

when we were young, we made our own lantern. just like the one u r holding, consist of six "loops". then use transparent coloured paper to cover the loops.
