It is during festive times that I miss my Aunt May the most as she made delicious zhang, cookies and moon cakes. When I saw these beautifully packed mooncakes which came in equally attractive boxes at a hypermarket, I stopped to admire them. Mind you, one moon cake costs around RM14 and a box would RM56. However, in my opinion, none can match those made by Aunt May. They were the simple lotus and egg yolk type without any fancy packaging. She'd put them into a plastic container for me but I would savour every bite as they had no preservatives and were made with love.
