RAYA SHOPPING WITH DONATED MONEY

Yahoo! I manage to collect more than RM2000 to buy new festive clothings for the orphans and needy children at the Pondok.  For your information, the total sum collected was RM2196 which was more than enough.  And to think that I was afraid that there would not be enough money.  The Ustaz (religious teacher) told me that what I was doing was for a good cause and somehow the Big Man above would make things happen.  You can see me holding up the money that was collected from my colleagues, their family and friends and also the students.
With money in hand, it was time to take the children shopping on Saturday morning.  To the shops we went to spend the money collected.
Daniel readily volunteered to help out during the shopping spree.  He helped to chauffeur some of the orphans to and from the Pondok to the shop.  Of course, he also took pictures of the event.
In this picture, Kamariah is helping the boys to choose Baju Melayu.  She and I have been doing this since 2007 and are considered experienced in handling the situation.
Daniel is taking pictures of the boys and girls choosing their festive clothings.  This is the second year he has volunteered his service.  Hopefully, he will continue to help in future.

Li Na    :  Wah!  Kama, we still have money leftover after paying for the shoes.  The people at the clothes store gave us a lot of discount and even gave the girls free anak tudung.  The proprietor gave them Duit Raya as well.  However, there seems to be two children who did not come.
Kamariah:  Check with Ustaz first to see if there are 23 or 25 children.  If there are only 23, then you can distribute the rest of the money to the children as Festive Money or Duit Raya.
Li Na     :  Good idea!  But I need to talk with Ustaz first.  Perhaps two of the children did not come.  If that is the case, then the money will be used to buy clothes for them later.
