MONEY FOR THE DEPARTED TAOISTS

According to the Chinese lunar calendar, we are into the seventh month, which is also known as the Ghosts month.  This is the month where the souls of the dearly departed are allowed to come back to earth for a holiday.  During this time, people of Taoist faith would burn prayer offerings to them.
One interesting item on sale at the prayer paraphernalia shop is the Hell Bank Notes or Money for the dead. They come in different sizes and are very colourful.  The image of the King of Hades is printed on the note.  Look at the size of some of the notes.  Really big.  The amount printed on it is in the zillions.  Imagine if this money can be transferred to the departed souls, then all the Taoist ghosts would be really, really rich in the underworld.
