It was the first time ever that my Aunt Linda and I set foot on Mydin Mall. We have never been to any of the ones in Malaysia before. The one in Meru Raya started operations from 18 May 2012. Info that I gleaned from the Internet showed that this is the first outlet in Perak and the biggest MYDIN in Malaysia. MYDIN Meru Raya is an environment-friendly shopping centre and well-equipped with facilities for shoppers with special needs. MYDIN Meru Raya features a hypermarket and 56 shop lots in two levels. There is the Rasa Village Food Court for those who want to have a meal in between shopping. The food court offers a huge choice of food from local to western cuisine. There are also facilities like prayer rooms, toilets, baby changing rooms, ATMs, free parking lots, shopping trolleys; free wheelchair service and an amusement park. There are also a bowling alley and karaoke centre located on level two.
My aunt and I spent two hours at the Mall but only managed to visit two levels only. That too was rushed as it was already 4.30 p.m. when we decided to call it a day as I had to go back to Sitiawan. Nevertheless, we will be going again next week as we find many of the items sold there affordable and rather cheap.
