DOWN ON HER LUCK

I am pictured with a former school janitor, Kak Mah.  She had been working at my workplace for many years but had to stop after she was involved in an accident.  Kak Mah who is diabetic is finding difficulty in recovering from her injury and she needs to go about using a crutch.
She came to the college yesterday morning to take orders for festive biscuits that she is helping to sell for her friend.  In this way, she can earn a bit of money.  She also tries and sells a bit of food during the evening in a makeshift stall outside her house to earn some money.  Her husband who is in his sixties is also sick and so could not work.  Sad, isn't it?  Kak Mah is certainly down on her luck.
