I have made plans to bring my librarians to visit the senior citizens at the Manibi'ul Ulum Centre next Tuesday. However we are not planning to go empty handed. We will be bringing along goodie bags to distribute to about 60 of the grannies residing there. This is my way of training the boys and girls to become more caring and concerned human beings.
This year, I am also getting my students to help me make greeting cards to give to the senior citizens. You can see some of the boys and girls in my class weaving ketupat shaped mats which will be used to decorate the greeting cards. I told them that contributing their effort is another way of doing a good deed.
