BUAH SALAK



My fingers suffered quite a bit trying to peel open the Salak fruit (Salacca zalacca).  If you take a closer look the salak has reddish-brown scaly skin which has earned it the name of snake fruit.The pulp is edible. The fruit can be peeled by pinching the tip, which should cause the skin to slough off so it can be pulled away.
