GEORGE TOWN: When choosing a house, avoid a property that is located at T-junctions as buyers might suffer ill health.

Sunday Star Ancient Secrets columnist Dr T. Selva said buyers could suffer from terminal health issues later and their expenditure would exceed their income.

“Property that are built on unfavourable land shapes such as a triangle is highly discouraged.

“It should be in a perfect rectangle or square,” he said.

“The elements ether, fire, water, earth and air influence our environment and it must be in harmony so that we may enjoy health, wealth and happiness,” Selva said during his talk on ‘How To Choose An Auspicious Property (Indian Feng Shui)’ at The Star Property Fair 2012 yesterday.

He also taught the audience on the various auspicious positions where the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms should be located.

“If the locations of these important places are positioned inauspiciously, one may suffer problems in their lives,” said Selva, who is also the author of the bestseller “Vasthu Sastra Guide” which has been translated into five languages.

On ways to clear one’s debts, Selva advised the visitors to buy a packet of salt every Friday and add it into the existing jar of salt and repeat it for 27 consecutive weeks.

“Do it with faith and respect and hopefully it may help you,” added Selva.

At the end of his session, he gave out some 150 micro-pyramid chips of various colours to the audience who eagerly jostled for the chips.
