SAMBAL UDANG PETAI


One of my favourite Malay dishes is Sambal Udang Petai (Prawn and Stinky Bean/Bitter Bean cooked in a chilli based sauce).  I used to pester my mum to make it for me when she was alive but now that she has passed away, I won't be able to taste her cooking.
Thankfully, I managed to persuade Kamariah to cook it for me and I got to enjoy it yesterday afternoon.  Though Kama's style is different from my mum's but the dish is delicious as well.

Yeah. Petai is chou dou or stink bean/bitter bean.
