NATURAL AND HYBRID CEMPEDAK

Cempedak is a local fruit resembling the Jackfruit.  It tastes delicious but then I dare not eat too much as it is said to cause a lot of gas or wind in our stomachs.
I saw two types of Cempedak at a stall, one was brownish-yellowish in colour while the other was green.  The green one is natural while the other is a hybrid.  One difference in the fruits is that the hybrid has larger edible arils which has sweet, juicy pulps.

One can also eat cempedak which is fried in batter.  This is one favourite Malaysian snack for evening tea.
