The yellowish lumps above are known as Rock Honey Sugar or Shi Feng Tang in Mandarin. You can see many holes on the block of sugar but it is still hard as rock. You will need to use the back of a chopper or some hard object if you ever need to break it up.
The Rock Honey sugar shown above was being sold at the Night Market. One can also buy them from the Chinese Medicine shops. I use them to boil herbal drinks.
