This year's Wesak Day, I was the only one who went to the temple to pray. My two constant companions were indisposed. I went to the temple early in the morning to offer my prayers to Buddha. Somehow I seem to be having a lot of trying situations one after another. My friend Asiah said that the Gods are testing me. Ayoh! It seems that I am not sitting for one test but many, many tests. They must give me a break. Now I know how Sun Wu Kong and his pals in Journey to the West must have felt when they had to go through 82 tribulations (tests) in order to get the Sacred Buddhist Scriptures from the Living Buddha to take back to China.
