I have often heard that the quality of crabs is influenced by the moon. When I say quality, I am referring to the amount of meat in the crabs. I have read that the majority of crabs shed during the full moon. After a shed crabs are at their lightest until they start filling out.
However, the taste of the crab in my opinion is said to be the best about a week prior to the full moon. Bet some of you did not know about the moon and the crabs.
