MASS TRADITIONAL HAN WEDDING

Newlyweds hold hands as part of ancient Chinese nuptial rites during a group wedding ceremony in Xi'an

On Labour Day this year, there was a mass wedding of a traditional kind in the Shaanxi Province in China.  

Altogether 130 couples wearing Chinese costumes took part in the group wedding ceremony based on Han Dynasty (206BC- AD220) traditions.
