Besides buying two pots of sweet lime plants to decorate each side of their front door, the Chinese would also buy sweet limes or limau kasturi to place as offerings on altars. This is because in Cantonese sweet limes are known as Kat which means prosperity. At the market, a bunch costs about RM1.
