In Feng Shui spiral staircases are not viewed positively. As a matter of fact, it is something to be avoided. Why? Because it resembles a corkscrew and they are more harmful when located in the middle of the home. The spiral is a corkscrew shape and with the curves of the staircase, it adds extra energy. In addition to the spiral shape, they are also a "hole" in the floor wherever they are placed on the top floor.
