CHEAP AND DELICIOUS ABC

In Malaysia we have a dessert called Ais Batu Campur (ABC) or Mixed Ice. The shaved ice is made usign a special ice machine.  A long time ago when I was a child, ABC which was known as Ais Kacang had only shaved ice and red beans (kacang).  Nowadays, the ice kacang of yore has been modified.  It comes in bright colours and with more added ingredients like fruits, nuts, sweet corn, grass jelly (cincau) and nuts. A topping of evaporated milk, condensed milk, or coconut milk is drizzled over the mountain of ice along with red rose syrup and sarsi syrup.  Sometimes, it also comes with an ice-cream.
The ABC above were ordered from a stall near the KD Rahmat stretch of the Lumut Waterfront.  Believe me, it tastes as good as it looks.  The price?  RM 2.00.  Yessss!  That cheap.
By the way, the food served is also delicious.

Why, America, why are you deprived of such cultural awesomeness?!?!?!

...I suspect that would be because my country would like us to travel more. (Regardless of its "ignorant" label xD) This does look rather yummy, though :3 Much more decorative than the shaved ice that's sold close to beaches in Mexico. :o

RM2.00 is about 60 cents in your currency. Real cheap, right?
