TYPICAL MENU FOR MALAYSIAN JAMUAN

I think I am not wrong in saying that Malaysians enjoy eating.  That is why whenever there is an event, there will most probably be a reception or jamuan makan before, during or after it for the guests.  The food served will usually be buffet style and dependant on if it is for breakfast, tea, lunch or dinner.
The food above was served to the parents of students who came to my school to attend the special prayer ceremony for their children's examination success.
 There will be a sweet snack like the one above.
 Then there will also be a savoury one, like the fried popiah shown above.
 The fried mee is another popular dish served.
 Besides mee, another choice would be fried meehoon (vermicelli)
